ABOUT US

Burdekin FC is the home of football (or as it is commonly known, soccer) in the Burdekin region. With an age range of 5- 85 years old, boys, girls, ladies and gents of all ages and size are welcomed to come and play the great game. So why put on a Burdekin strip?

U5-U7 Junior Local Non-Competitive Fixtures are played every Saturday morning at Honeycombes Sporting Complex. The U8-U12 Junior Non-Competitive fixtures are a mixture of local games vs Burdekin and Townsville teams, and once a month teams travel to Townsville to play. Whereas our U13-U16 teams compete in the FQ Northern Football Competition in Townsville. Our club also provides numerous opportunities for our junior players, by entering in various club carnivals, and friendly games versus Bowen and Charters Towers.

Our focus is on developing our players of all ages, with their skills and team participation, along with the great social opportunity and encouraging an active lifestyle. For further details please see our Club Handbook located under Rules & Policies.

Heading across the road to International Park, home of Senior Football, age groups are open from Youth and Fillies to Masters and Funkies. There is a place for everyone. The Senior players compete in the FQ Northern Competition in Townsville. The Womens matches for Women's Reserves and Women's Premier League being played on Friday nights in Townsville and at home. The Funkie's also join the women on Friday nights playing either at home or away in Townsville. The 2nd Division Men, Reserve Men and Premier League Men take the field on late Saturday afternoons. The Master's social competition can be found walking, I mean running around on Monday nights at International Park.

2025 will see the 47th year of Delta Cleaners Night Soccer Competition.  A social small sided competition for the men and women 16 years and above. It will also see the return of Junior Social Soccer now in it's third year, played on Tuesday afternoons at the completion of the regular season. All are welcome to get a team together and join in the fun.

Burdekin FC values its strong ties within our local community in which our club was built. We enjoy supporting local organisations and sponsors and enjoy giving back to our community.
